Jeanie Welch
Director and Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Jeanie is a Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist, trained in It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words programs. She is trained in Sounds-Write, Little Learners Love Literacy and Read3 programs. She has completed training in Talk for Reading. She has undertaken postgraduate training in the assessment and management of speech sound disorders, ankyloglossia (tongue tie) and paediatric feeding including the AEIOU integrated approach to paediatric feeding and orofacial myology training. She has completed courses on Teaching Critical Communication Skills, Picture Exchange Communication Systems and Early Start Denver Model. Jeanie has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training.
Jeanie has a special interest in working with children with speech sound difficulties. Jeanie is passionate about bringing out the best in all the children she works with.

Kathryn Hughes
Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2016. Since then she has worked across a variety of paediatric based settings including a Special Development School, Private Practice and community-based supports.
Kathryn has spent most of her career working with children and teenagers with complex communication needs and neuro-divergent disorders, such as Autism and ADHD. More recently her focus has been towards Early Intervention family-based support.
Kathryn’s additional training has included the DIR Floortime approach, Social Thinking Program and Karen Stagnitti Play Based Therapy approach. Kathryn is also trained in providing Alternative and Augmentative Communication assessment and intervention, including the LAMP Words For Life approach, Proloquo2go, Key Word Sign, and PECS. Kathryn has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Sounds-Write.
Kathryn has also attended training in providing intervention and assessment via Telehealth.
Kathryn enjoys working in family-based Early Intervention to support children develop their language and overall social communication skills.
Kathryn is available in our Williamstown office and via telehealth.
Lauren Lorandi
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Lauren completed a Masters of Speech Pathology from Griffith University 2020 and has a Bachelor Degree in Psychological Science from La Trobe University. Lauren has a strong passion for working with children. She has experience supporting children with varying needs. Lauren has engaged in Hanen intervention and devoted some spare time attending feeding workshops. Lauren has provided some feeding and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) intervention. Prior to commencing post-study, Lauren spent a year working as an Integration Aide and assisted students with special needs, alongside offering private tutoring sessions across a variety of subjects.
Lauren enjoys building upon her knowledge across all areas, but has special interest in working with late talkers and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lauren hopes to address parent and client goals to ensure optimal results can be achieved in and outside of the clinic.
Lauren has completed additional training in working with children with speech sound disorders, Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 training. Lauren is also trained in Sounds-Write.

Hanan El Hage
Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist

Hanan completed her Bachelor of Applied Science with a Master of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University in 2023.
During her university placements, Hanan had experience working on speech, early language and literacy. Hanan’s personal areas of interest include speech sound disorders, early language acquisition, literacy, fluency and is keen on expanding her knowledge in a range of other areas. Hanan is trained in the Read 3 Program, and has completed the Lidcombe Program Consortium training.
Hanan feels passionate about providing therapy that is client-centred, engaging and enjoyable. Hanan is proficient in both English and Arabic which can help her connect and support a range of clients.
Hanan is available in our Williamstown office and for telehealth consultations.
