Jeanie Welch
Director and Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Jeanie completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from The University of Newcastle in 2004. She has worked in private practice, mainstream schools, special schools and childcare centres as well as working in a special unit for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the United Kingdom.

Jeanie is a Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist, trained in It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words programs. She is trained in Sounds-Write and Little Learners Love Literacy programs. She has undertaken postgraduate training in the assessment and management of speech sound disorders, ankyloglossia (tongue tie) and paediatric feeding including the AEIOU integrated approach to paediatric feeding. She has completed courses on Teaching Critical Communication Skills, Picture Exchange Communication Systems and Early Start Denver Model.

Jeanie is certified to train parents in the 1-2-3 Magic and Emotion Coaching program as well as the No Scaredy Cats program to reduce anxiety and build resilience in children. Jeanie is trained to deliver effective speech pathology services via telehealth and has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 program training.She has a special interest in working with children with speech sound difficulties. Jeanie is passionate about bringing out the best in all the children she works with.

Tania Attard
Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Tania completed a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology at La Trobe University Bundoora in 2006. She has experience in the industry working with children in schools and private practice settings. She has experience supporting children in various aspects of their speech, language and communication development.

Tania has completed training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Working with Children with Autism, Working with Children from Multilingual Backgrounds and The Sound System. Tania has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 program training.

She is particularly interested in working with children with language and literacy difficulties, speech sound disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Tania is committed to and passionate about improving the communication skills of her clients, furthering her knowledge and ensuring that each individual’s needs are met in an engaging and positive way.

Tania is available in our Keilor East clinic and via telehealth.


Jennifer Hill
Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Jennifer completed a Masters of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne in 2015. Since graduating, Jennifer has worked at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, at the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre, as well as with children in special school and private practice settings. She has experience supporting various aspects of speech, language and communication development. She has completed training in the Picture Exchange Communication System , the PODD Augmentative/Alternative Communication system, and the DIR Floortime model. She has completed training in Little Learners Love Literacy Read 3. She is also completing further training on teaching critical communication skills and has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 program training.

Jennifer is available in our Keilor East clinic and via telehealth.


Kathryn Hughes
Senior Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2016. Since then she has worked across a variety of paediatric based settings including a Special Development School, Private Practice and community-based supports.

Kathryn has spent most of her career working with children and teenagers with complex communication needs and neuro-divergent disorders, such as Autism and ADHD. More recently her focus has been towards Early Intervention family-based support.

Kathryn’s additional training has included the DIR Floortime approach, Social Thinking Program and Karen Stagnitti Play Based Therapy approach. Kathryn is also trained in providing Alternative and Augmentative Communication assessment and intervention, including the LAMP Words For Life approach, Proloquo2go, Key Word Sign, and PECS. Kathryn has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Sounds-Write.

Kathryn has also attended training in providing intervention and assessment via Telehealth.

Kathryn enjoys working in family-based Early Intervention to support children develop their language and overall social communication skills.

Naomi Madamperuma
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Naomi completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University in 2021. Naomi focuses on advocating for her clients and empowering children to help achieve their communicative potential. Since working in private practice, Naomi has gained experience working with children presenting with literacy, speech and language issues as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

Naomi has a special interest working with children’s literacy and language development and speech sound disorders. Naomi hopes to provide holistic evidence-based care to support children to engage successfully and meaningfully in their everyday lives. 

Naomi is available in our Keilor East clinic and for telehealth consultations. 


Melissa Shiberras
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Melissa completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Speech Pathology in 2018. Since graduating, Melissa has been working in private practice assisting children to achieve their goals across a variety of developmental areas. Melissa has completed additional training in the Little Learners Love Literacy program, infant feeding foundations and understanding self regulation. She has completed additional courses on providing effective speech pathology sessions via telehealth. Melissa is interested in working with late talkers, literacy development, children with feeding issues, as well as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Melissa works with childrens’ interests to gain optimal outcomes.

Melissa has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 program training.

Melissa is available for telehealth consultations.


Ruby Scott
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Ruby completed her Bachelor of Applied Science with a Masters of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University in 2021. Before graduating, Ruby worked as an Allied Health Assistant where she administered speech therapy with clients who had Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as children with speech sound disorders and language difficulties. Her personal areas of interest include fluency, speech sound disorders, and early language acquisition.

Lauren Lorandi
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Lauren completed a Masters of Speech Pathology from Griffith University 2020 and has a Bachelor Degree in Psychological Science from La Trobe University. Lauren has a strong passion for working with children. She has experience supporting children with varying needs. Lauren has engaged in Hanen intervention and devoted some spare time attending feeding workshops. Lauren has provided some feeding and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) intervention. Prior to commencing post-study, Lauren spent a year working as an Integration Aide and assisted students with special needs, alongside offering private tutoring sessions across a variety of subjects.

Lauren enjoys building upon her knowledge across all areas, but has special interest in working with late talkers and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lauren hopes to address parent and client goals to ensure optimal results can be achieved in and outside of the clinic.

Lauren has completed additional training in working with children with speech sound disorders, Lidcombe Program Consortium training and Read 3 training.

Lauren is available for telehealth consultations.


Nicola Wood
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Nicola completed a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology from Charles Sturt University in 2021 and joined our team at Connected Kids Speech pathology in January 2022. During her degree Nicola has experienced an array of clients with varying communication needs such as speech, language, articulation, literacy, stuttering, paediatric feeding, and pragmatic (social) difficulties for kids with ASD. Nicola has completed Lidcombe Program Consortium training. She has a keen interest in working with children with speech, articulation, language and literacy difficulties. Nicola is currently working on further educating herself in areas such as literacy and working with children with ASD to improve her services with her clientele.

Nicola is available via telehealth and in the East Keilor clinic.
